It is, but the mileage is pretty low and the Dakar Yellow adds value to it for the right person (me). However, I wouldnt reallly shell out anything more than 20 or 21k for it.

Yes what you are seeing is the Manuél Transmission tax

If the car was SMG and $25K it would have 35-40K miles on it

I got my SMG M3 with under 35K miles for $24,500

You have to pay way more or accept way more miles to get the stick

Honestly having the Dakar Yellow from BMW individual is worth at least $3k in my world and the car itself is worth around 17k-18k so 21k is what it would be worth to me and I doubt anyone would value it any higher than me. But 25k is definitely overpriced by quite a bit.

I absolutely love yellow on a sports car and Dakar Yellow is my favorite BMW yellow, hence why this particular car means so much to me.

If it had 20k less miles on it and it's really as clean as it sounds, I think 25k would be fair. But I agree that the mileage isn't low enough to justify, although I see the poster's point about the individual color being worth something to the right buyer.

My SMG M3 with under 35k ran me about $26k back in 2012, paying what I viewed as a slight premium for more or less exactly the color combination and set of mods I wanted. I get the appeal of the stick but really don't understand the massive premium for it.

I got mine in early 2013!

I understand the premium for stick but the delta is getting out of control. The SMG pump can break and we can get other issues that aren't cheap to fix. But I've seen some people trying to sell manual cars for $10K more than an SMG car with the same amount of miles. You could almost buy a parts car for that money, haha
